The government will not be able to appoint, transfer or promote employees from today.

According to the instructions given by the Election Commission on  Bhadra 2, the government will not be able to transfer, promote or appoint any employee from today.

Surya Prasad Aryal, Assistant Spokesperson of the Commission, said that the Commission had instructed not to do that work for the purposes of the upcoming State Assembly and House of Representatives elections 18 days before today, i.e. on Bhadrat 2.

Giving a brief response to News Agency Nepal on Monday afternoon, he also clarified that the government has given 18 days time to fill up the approved posts in any place.

Assistant Spokesperson Aryal said, “During the election preparations, the Election Commission has been giving instructions related to various types of elections to the Nepalese government, state government and local government.

In this regard, according to the instructions given by the Commission to the Government of Nepal on 2nd August, if there is any vacancy in any of the approved positions at the union, state and local levels, then those vacancies may be difficult to manage the election due to various reasons. The Election Commission had instructed the Government of Nepal to do it even if it could be done or should be done.

At the same time, the Manpower Management Commission has also approved the guidelines for preparing the details of the manpower employed there after that work has been completed, which can be used for election purposes.

He said earlier, ‘That committee has been formed in the district under the coordination of the Chief District Officer to manage manpower. Who are the people working there? This instruction has been given so that it is convenient for them to stand for election at any time. According to the instructions given by the commission, we have given about 18 days time to the government of Nepal to complete the work of transfer or transfer the employees by the 20th.

The Election Commission has already formed a staff management committee in all districts under the leadership of the Chief District Officer to manage the staff for election purposes.

Aryal, Assistant Spokesperson of the Commission, said that committees have also been arranged in all districts to mobilize employees for election purposes.

The Election Commission has also made it clear that the government will be subject to a code of conduct since the date of the election is announced. Elections for the State Assembly and the House of Representatives will be held on the 4th of Mansir.
