Nepal Police has opened recruitment for one lakh Temporary police (Myadi Prahari). The Naxals have issued a notice asking them to apply from March 22 to 23.
Application forms are available at all District Police Offices. Anyone who has completed 18 years of age and has not reached 54 years of age will be able to apply for the post.ad space
The criteria for joining the temporary police force are to be a Nepali citizen, not to have been charged with a crime, not to be a member of any political party, and to be physically and mentally fit.
Preference will be given to former security personnel of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force for temporary police recruitment.
Preference will also be given to those who have passed the physical fitness and health examination by applying from 1st July, 2078 BS. It is said that those who have worked in the security forces outside Nepal and have worked as temporary police in the last election will also get priority.
The final results of the Temporary police (Myadi Prahari) will be published on April 8, but their service period will not be 40 days.
According to the Department of Human Resources and Administration at the Police Headquarters, Naxal, a temporary police officer will be paid Rs. 30,240 as basic salary (Rs. 22,680 per month).
They will be provided a lump sum of Rs 7,200 for food and Rs 6,000 per person for the purchase of clothes and other items.
