Kathmandu – The government has taken the task of classifying 753 local levels in the final phase. This is the first time a local level administrative classification has been started after state restructuring.
An indicator of classification
The details have been prepared based on local level transport facilities, distance from the capital city, distance from district headquarters, education available at the local level, access to telecommunication services, access to electricity service and regularity, human development index, geographical location, and local level, according to the ministry. According to ministry spokesman Suresh Adhikari, the name, boundary, and structure have been changed after the implementation of the local level.
Yet infrastructure like roads, electricity, education, health is not all the same at the local level. The geographical situation is not the same. All these issues are taken into account in the administrative classification.
