Kathmandu. The government has decided to close schools across the country till Magha 15 due to the increasing infection of coronavirus.
A meeting of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center (CCMCC) held on Sunday has requested to close the basic and secondary schools across the country by giving winter leave till Magha 15. Spokesperson Sunita Nepal informed that the decision has been taken to urge the parents not to send their children to school.
“We have decided to extend the winter break in some schools till Magha 15, which is expected to break the chain of transition,” she said.
The meeting also requested to vaccinate students between the ages of 12 and 17 and teachers, staff, and parents above the age of 18 even when the school is closed.
